Last year, 2024, as the US Presidential election was going on I looked into it and found out that I am completely qualified to be US President, the silly thing is that so are most of the US Americans I know. At this point I asked myself why did we have such a poor choice of candidates when nearly every US American I know, including myself, is officially qualified for the job?
To become President of the United States, an individual must meet three specific constitutional qualifications:
- Be a natural-born citizen
- Be at least 35 years old
- Have been a resident of the United States for at least 14 years.
These qualifications are outlined in Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution according to Congress.gov.
